Case: Volt with Tonje Schei had just made iSynx, an art project showing a possible future. What was science fiction a year ago is already becoming reality. The project's goal was to focus on how society is challenged by new technology. Rights, work life, privacy and identity are challenged. We wanted to engage as many people as possible in this project and test where the boundaries of the committed citizen went. We kicked off a debate about privacy and launched a campaign for the fictional product iSynx. In collaboration with documentary producer Tonje Schei, Gimpville and Superblaise, our big brother, we engaged about one million Norwegians with a "fake" advertisement for high-tech contact lenses. It all ended in a debate and dialogue about what the person's identity and responsibility is, in the face of new technology.
